Elderly couple desperate for food amid a coronavirus pandemic

Save the Children and its implementing partners World Vision and Care have been supporting over 80 000 vulnerable and food insecure families through its food and cash transfer project in Mbire, Matobo, Mwenezi and Beitbridge district. Leonora (65) who is blind was among the elderly people supported by the project.

Food Aid for Child-headed Households in Zimbabwe

Through financial support from European Union/ ECHO, Save the Children and its implementing partners World Vision and Care have been supporting the most vulnerable and food insecure families through the food and cash transfer project. The project has assisted 80 000 food insecure households across four districts of Zimbabwe. Muchengeti was among the people supported by the project.

European Union funding to boost the informal sector in Zimbabwe

The European Union Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development Mr Neven Mimica was at Stodart Hall in Zimbabwe on 9 April for the signing ceremony and national launch of a European Union funded public and private sector partnership project to be implemented by a Save the Children led consortium.
