Advocating for an Africa Fit for Children through Art

Day of the African Child falls on the 16th of June every year. The day comes as an opportunity to raise awareness on the ongoing need to work towards the realisation of the rights of all African Children. This year’s celebrations were held under the theme: “30 Years after the adoption of the Charter: accelerate the implementation of Agenda 2040 for an Africa fit for Children.” To commemorate this day, Junior Parliamentarians advocated for and Africa fit for children through art.

The 16 member Beitridge Junior Council went through a two day Child Rights and Advocacy training at a workshop facilitated by Save the Children, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church mission in Beitbridge town.
