Junior Councillors from Beitbridge town trained on Child Rights

The 16 member Beitridge Junior Council went through a two day Child Rights and Advocacy training at a workshop facilitated by Save the Children, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church mission in Beitbridge town.

European Union funding to boost the informal sector in Zimbabwe

The European Union Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development Mr Neven Mimica was at Stodart Hall in Zimbabwe on 9 April for the signing ceremony and national launch of a European Union funded public and private sector partnership project to be implemented by a Save the Children led consortium.

Unaccompanied children deserve protection

Save the Children Zimbabwe hosted the regional Knowledge Exchange and Learning conference on unaccompanied migrant children, in Beitbridge town from 28 to 30 August 2017. The conference which was aimed at sharing and learning from country experiences in promoting the protection of separated and unaccompanied migrant children was attended by 38 representatives from countries in the Southern Africa region

Victim Friendly Unit Officers trained in Online Safety

Harare: Members of the police force's Victim Friendly Unit went through some training on Online Safety for Childrent and the role of the police in the keeping children safe online. The three day training was jointly organized by Save the Children and the Zimbabwe Republic Police.

Rumbidzai urges children to shun early marriage

I dropped out of school in form 2 and got married at the age of 17. My husband and I now have two children and providing for them is a daily struggle. I regret getting into marriage at a young age and I urge all young girls not to rush into marriage, but to focus on their education.
